Three Mini Carousels and three ceiling mounted turntables supplied by British Turntable were central to the success of The Fashion Show, a temporary exhibition at Belfast’s Ulster Museum.
The use of three turntables at floor level meant that the mannequins could be viewed from all sides without visitors having to walk around them. The ceiling-mounted turntables had dresses suspended from them, giving the impression that they were revolving in mid-air.
The Mini Carousel, one of more than 100 standard display movement products in the British Turntable catalogue, has the ability to display a wide range of goods and merchandise safely. The turntable, extendable from 450mm to 1500mm in diameter, comes supplied with 5 amp slip rings as standard, providing electrical power on the rotating platform for feature lighting or special effects.
Ceiling mounted turntables are effective where space is limited – extending display options to areas not normally used – and are popular for information signage.
